Here in India soon the monsoon finishes in September and we start our new batch of 18-19 Yoga Teacher training in at Goa India, Arambol is located in North of Goa, Totally green and fresh air, vegan and healthy food with many activities to do. It was discovered by Hippies in 1970 and carries very supportive spiritual energy, still now in 2018 you can see that it has changed but the essence of spirituality is still around, this is the only place I have seen the world that has so many different practices happing around to help you to see your inner longing, like Drum circles, Meditation courses, Ecstatic Dance, Five Rythems, Goddess workshops, Tantra courses, Yoga classes and of course Yoga teacher training.
We, Diya Yoga (Yoga alliance Registered 200 hours yoga teacher training School) are located near the Sea about 3 Minutes walk to the beach, with beautiful view of the lake where a small river comes out and in front of us nice hills of armbol with cashew nuts tress standing. At our yoga hall one does the sun-salutation facing the hills where the sun rising and evening meditation facing the sunsets. Our rooms are large with different views. The school is located in quite area. But the main happening area is not far from us. Its about 10 minutes walk.
Diya yoga offers a multi-style 200 hours yoga teacher training, We are non dogmatic yoga school, our teachers are sharing their knowledge and ready to also learn new things at the same time. We teach Hatha yoga, Vinyasa yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative yoga and Basics of Iyenger yoga. Each classes are shared with the teacher who is expert in those styles of Asana practice, Also during training one learns the basic anatomy of body, As yoga is not just Asana, we emphasis also on Philosophy and meditation too. As the philosopher teacher has the Indian roots with experience of staying in abroad for many years, she teaches it where it can be understood by the western mind. About yogic anatomy (e.g. Chakras Koshas..) We do not just talk but also bring an experience to it during the course. Many type of meditation also teach so one can choose from the self experience which one is most easy and beneficial for individual. We teach active, passive, analytic and awareness enhancing meditation practices. We also have some classes of yoga Nidra and guided meditations.
As one is coming also to Be a teacher to the 200 hours yoga teacher training, we start practicing the teaching from very first week, a small 5 miniuts practice starts at the beginning , slowly adding the time, voice and simple asanas practice, by the end of the course it becomes very natural for any person to teach. As it is deeply integrated during the course. Also we have methodology classes where we share what to do to improve the teaching, How to create different style of classes with different theame, also what to watch out while teaching a yoga asana class has been introduce. We also have chanting and mantra classes where one learns to open the vocal code so while teaching an asana class it becomes easy and natural to talk and guide.
The most important is Alignment, everyday there is an alignment classes are scheduled so one really learns in details about each asana, how to get in to an asana and how to get out of it, including how to breath while in asanas, or going in to asanas. it is practiced again and again and shared, there is always a teacher around to guide and correct the new upcoming yogis.
Other Important thing of yoga is Pranayama. “Breathing techniques”. With right breathing we can improve our health and our mind set. We teach the breathing exercise to bring balance in to the body mind and soul. Also our asana classes are including the pranayama practice, everyday for 25 day practicing pranayama one feel the change in body and mind at the end of the course.
We serve very nice healthy breakfast and lunch everyday, we do not serve dinner so one can enjoy the local cuisine and vegan restaurant around and feeling free to eat what they like.
The water at the Goa sea has very good temperature thru out the year. So one can always go to swim during the breaks.

- November – Warm, nice clean air after monsoon, less tourist,quite and peaceful
- December – January – cooler beginning of Indian winter, bit more tourist than November, more programs and playful activities happening around. So one can go see what Arambol is. One need a light jacket in the evening.
- February – March – This months are good if you like sun and bit of wind, its bit warmer than January. Its just perfect tempature also many other acitiveties a happening around.
- April – A sun loving persons perfect time to come and enjoy the hot, with less tourist around.
