Paragliding is a recreational activity which makes you fly high in the sky just like the colorful birds. People often confuse paragliding with parasailing, but these too are very different from each other. The concepts are similar but paragliding takes you up to 100 meters in the sky or much more than that unlike parasailing. Paragliding is such an activity which has been invented long back and holds a special place in people’s heart. To have a view just like the birds do is what this 15 minutes paragliding would make you experience.
As history speaks, in the year 1961, a French engineer Pierre Lemoigne decided to improvise the design of the parachute into a paraglider so it ascends up in the air. Many engineers and scientists came up and made changes in the design. In the year 1978, all the changes were combined into what we call today the paraglider. The three friends who brought in the final result were Jean-Clause Betemps, Andre Bohn and Gerard Bosson. Ultimately NASA did the final touch and took the credit of naming our favorite recreational sports-PARAGLIDER. Will Gadd, with a paragliding journey of 263 miles is the world champion of paagliding
